Just wondering if anybody knows the reason why my starter motor is now knackered just a few days after replacing my clutch?
I have a Bravo 1.4sx '98
Cheers

Thats an exact example of being purely unlucky!

I disagree. There have been many posts on here in the past of starter motors failing shortly after a clutch replacement. The same happened to me about a month later.

I think it has something to do with a couple of connectors not being attached properly when replacing the clutch and consequently burning out the starter.

Its one to keep an eye out for in the future

I did my own clutch last November.
Had the same problem. Solinoid burnt out.

I found the main battery feed to starter was loose.
Got a replacement recon switch for £46.

The fact that it has been reported before makes me wonder if the spring washer HAS to be replaced.

Mt suggestion is to keep a close eye on the terminal
for a couple of months if you ever have to undo it
