I've just replaced the starter motor in my 500F.

At at certain low revs I'm getting a whistling noise (somewhat like a turbo!). This happens when static as well as driven. Tbh it actually is more noticeable inside (or outside at the side or front rather than from the engine bay) but hard to be definitive.
When I replaced the SM I also re-bolted the heater box to the underside as it had been loose and knocking. I suspect some impossible to track vibration at a certain frequency!

Anybody got any thoughts?

Cheers HUGH

Guessing a cooling fan rubbing or any tin shields disturbed by fitting the starter.
If heater box area , try pushing against it a little to see if noise changes, also to confirm, remove fan belt to test.
