Technical Whistling Noise

This is strange so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Over the past couple of days I noticed a whistling noise coming from the engine when it's ticking over.

I've checked all the hoses and they all seem ok no holes or leaks)

It seems to have appeared since i put my induction kit on so i removed it and refitted to make sure there were no leaks in hoses and everything was secure and sealed..

Any Ideas? As it's starting to annoy me as everything else is sweet a a nut...


Car is a 98 Bravo 1.8 16V

perhaps just the induction kit sucking in air?

u tried putting ure standard airbox back on then see if it still does it

Sorted it.......

I replaced the non return valve on the vacuum hose that's attached to the bulk head.... there was a small crack in it....

Took me ages to find it though, i went over every hose on the car...

Now it's not whistling at all and i'm happy.....
