Will be putting the winter tyres on our new Panda next Friday...or more precisely the local garage will be!

When I checked the oil the other day it was looking particularly dark (nearly 7k on the clock since new in April this year), so I rang the local garage up the road from me who have a decent enough reputation.

They will do me an oil/oil filter change and swap my wheels over for £25; if you including the filter and oil which I will provide then it's probably around £50 all in.

Think that's a pretty good deal to be fair!(y)

Set of Continental Winter Contact TS800s due to be fitted next week to the steelies I bought last year. £242 fitted at Kwik S*** if ordered online - a pretty good deal for them fitted and balanced I feel.

I'm taking them in another car though as I don't want them going near my car with a windy gun!

This year will be the first that I'll be needing the car for work, so thought it sensible to get some decent boots for the cold weather.

I've put the winter wheels back on the Wife's 500 this morning. I think as we're almost in November, they can stay on now 'til at least March, unless of course something weird happens and we have a tropical Christmas.

Seriously Maxi how many people use a torque wrench for wheel nuts :)

me, bgunn, Andy monty for starters :p

beat me to it...

Now who checks them after 50 to 100 miles?

to be fair i can get them within about 1/8th of a turn using the breaker bar but i have done them a few times now lol
