Hi,
I am new on driving and cars in general, so I would like to know your opinion about Fiats that YOU have. I am personally driving a small Fiat (let you know later which model :) ). What are the differences? Which ones do you think are better?

get a fiat grande punto 'gp' 1.3 multijet. i have one and itl do 60+mpg, and it has a bit of grunt, im surprised with what cars mine can keep up with. and thats before the planned- intercooler, gsr induction kit and red dot map lol. my fiat is brand new, so cant really comment on reliability, but is smooth, easy to drive, nice gearbox and its one of the best looking cars on the road!! hope it was of help, pm me if you need any more details

erm... I didn't really understand what you are talking about in the beginning of your post
so the questions are:
how does Punto look like (photos, please)?
what is multijet/ mpg/ intercooler/ gsr induction kit?
I'm a total dummy :p
What should I pay attention to when choosing a car? Just explain everything to me as to a girl :p Please! :p

ok, multijet is a new diesel engine boiught out by fiat to give you mor miles per gallon (mpg) 60 miles per gallon is great!! the average car can average about 40 to maybe 50 miles per gallon. the intercooler and induction kit are just ways to make my car quicker, you wont need to worry about them. when choosing a car, there is alot to consider, you are bets to ask your husband/boyfirend/dad/male you know as there is alot to consider. thugh if you still need help il be happy to help
hope i was of help
http://www.fiat.co.uk/Showroom/#showroom/grande_punto_5dr/configurator- this link here will take you to a website where you can look at the fiat punto, and you change its colour etc. have fun playing around with it

ps - if i were you, when going to view a car you would like to buy, TAKE A MAN!!!! if you dont know anything about cars, then you will get ripped off big time!!

By all means take someone who knows about cars -- the presence of a willy certainly doesn't automatically confer that!

Deisels are evil. Buy an old Cinquecento. It'll be more fun to drive and will cost you very little (even if you crash it). Unless you're doing lots of rep type motorway mileage, in which case a weasel makes some kind of sense.

thanks for info :) (y) I guess I'll take my dad next time. But I don't really need a new car 'cause it would be a pity to crash it :( So I need something not too old to drive and not too new to be sorry to crash.
I looked up in google for Cinquecento. Well, I don't seem to like it. :yuck: Any other ideas? Please

Seicento is quite ok. :D But 5k is too much for me for a car :(
I still think I need an OLD one, but tough enough if it gets crashed :D

The photos are:

  1. something like my Fiat (dad's)
  2. and the one i would like to have :p
What models are these?
6-800 quid ????????

There are certain things some men just don't get about car buying :( They don't seem to get the whole colour/ shape/ looks thing which IMO is as important as the whole 'does it go fast and will it depreciate' thing.

I almost agree! ;)
Looks #1 importance
Performance way down on the list - see my 2CV van :p
Depreciation doesn't even come into it!

Buy whichever car you like the look of, you can afford, and if you love it, you can live with its faults and foibles...

You have to be the only woman in Europe who doesn't like the Cinq. Seicento (essentially a Cinq with a different body)? You can pick up excellent private ones for 6-800 quid. Or, if you're more loaded, The new Pandas and new 500 can be got for around 5k.

That makes two of us then. I only owned mine because it was cheap and got me about for three weeks

I am not alone :p
Percyhahn , I certainly like your idea (y) I'll think about it :) Still I would rather buy an old car because I'm afraid to crash the new one :(
But anyway, thanks to everyone for help. :) I know now a bit more about cars, Fiats :p
If I need help in some other questions regarding Fiats, I will definitely asks you, guys (y)

By the way, I saw some Fiats on the e-bay. Is it a good idea to buy there? Or is it better to buy from REAL people?

Thank you everyone for your help! My head is now full of information, i just have to digest everything :p
