Hello all,

My niece bought a memoscanner for her VW (VW/Audi) and my Brother-in-law thinks it is great. Her model is a u281.

I would like to buy one that is for my Fiat Ulysse, but I am not having any luck. I would appreciate any help and link(s) that anyone could give me, please.

My Ulysse details:

Fiat Ulysse, 2.0L Sn Manual, Petrol, N reg bodywork and P reg engine. :)

The current issue that I am having is that the engine keeps dipping and cutting out now and then and the engine management light comes on now and then, but does go out. There is also a strong smell from the exhaust and engine (much stronger than what it usually is).

Took it up my brother-in-laws, and sods law, it didn't happen. Going on just the descpription above, and I know it is not much to go on, does anyone have any idea of that issue, please?

I had a similar problem but on a different vehicle, which nturned out to be a blocked cat,we removed the internals and the car ran much better, more acceleration and power, also the engine temperature under the bonnet was much cooler. It's worth a try, good luck with it.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

LandLubber, I did reply to your recent thread with the following, but I thought I'd better add to my original thread too:

Always worth posting mate, thanks. Glad you got is started.

With regard to your FR704, I have just bought one and it came with the fitting shown in the attachent below. I have also taken a good a picture as I could of the socket in my Fiat Uylsse (1996 - 2.0L Petrol).

Is this the same plug that came on the end of your FR704? Is your socket (sorry, I can't remember the correct name) the same as mine? The FR704 appears to be the same shape as a television 'Scart Lead' and the socket in the car that it goes into, appears a rectangular shape.

Did yours fit and work (if it is the same as mine)? Or did you have to buy an extra attachment for it, to be able to fit your Ulysse, please?

If you had to buy a bit for it, to fit your ulysse, would you be so kind as to supply me with a URL link to it, so I can purchase one please?

Many thanks.

I have been looking and e-mailing everywhere, with no success. EBay, wesite - you name it.

Below is a link to more clearer images, including the FR704 lead, the OBD II attachment that came with it and the cocket on my ulysse that it goes into.

Please note the shape of the socket, the pins and the positions of the pins.

I am looking for the attachment to go on existing Cable (like the OBDII that came with it), only the right one for my car. If push came to shove, I would buy a complete lead.
