A pan/cone filter to fit on the carburettor - 100mm diameter - and do away with the standard Air box ? Uno Pacer 1372cc - Weber 32 TLF carburettor. No such luck with Steve's Auto Clinic and a few others. Any suggestions out there....

The 32TLF should only be fitted on the 999cc & 1108cc FIRE engines.

Are you sure thats whats on there?

You really had me going out there in that blizzard and open up the bonnet to look - Ha ha. Yes, over here in SA - Automakers Ltd (the chaps that used to assemble the Uno's) often did their "own thing" in comparison with the rest of the world. On launch, the 1372cc engines were fitted with the Bosch mono - Single point fuel injection system - but a few years later down the line, reasons unknown- replaced these with the Webber 32/34 TLF 25/151 carburettor.......

Wow, a double-barrel TLF? That must be some 'new' design of carburettor created after everyone else was using fuel injection.

I think you'll probably have to make something fit. Perhaps the foam-type air cleaners have an aluminium baseplate in which you can cut some holes with a sheet metal nibbler.

Personally I don't think it's worthwhile to replace the standard airbox unless you have fitted a different camshaft or done some other mod that would require more airflow (like, a turbocharger... )

I`d love to see pictures of the carb if possible Barney.

Re the filter: Personally I`m happy with my "2 layers of tights over the open air filter" intake system that I`ve done to numerous cars over the years, although a proper one might look more professional... Also ZA is pretty dusty, so maybe not a good move there...lol

Blimey, look how clean your soundproofing & washer bottle are... nice!

How olds the car?

Anyway, thanks for that Barney, much appreciated! (y)

It looks completely different from the single choke obviously, but it does look like the fixing bolts pass all the way through the carb body to a sandwich plate on the manifold.... verrrry interesting...

Now where can I get 1 of these to experiment with.... :D
