Technical Where is the throttle body on Punto sporting?

Hi all

I have a MK2 Punto sproting. I think th throttle body need cleaning as I am having problems with the car cutting out when the accelerator is lightly pressed. Also stalls far too easy.

Hi, its under the air filter box.

The throttle body is the thing that the air passes through to get to the engine.

Sounds more like a vacuum problem to me.

What on earth has being a girl got to do with it?

The symptoms you describe are normally associated with too much air in the induction system downstream of the TB.

Possibly a split pipe or connector for the vacuum tubes.

im with rallycinq on this one, i've attempted to train the gf, ive shown her/made her watch me! change clutches do headgaskets, service cars, change brakes and just other general maintence. she's sort of getting there. And ive just finished doing my IMI motor veichle technician level 2 at college and there were 3 girls on the course, so there you go. get stuck in!
