Hi
Have a 03 fiat punto 1.2 16v, need to know what the resistance readings should be on the pins, ie motor and grnd to signal 1 and grnd to signal 2.
Getting p0120 error.
Everything works fine when reving the car. Goes into limb mode when driving

What do you mean by limp mode? My 2004 1.2 16V does not have that feature. It might be available on the evo face lift model or grande punto.

Are you saying the ECU does not have a white label on it?
Use to, have is gone, have the same car as you, well it basically restrics your throttle to 29% can push the pedal as much as you want the throttle body doesnt open more than that, clear the errors, start the car and rev it up, no issues, only when you drive, and push the peddal past 29% then it goes into limp mode/protection mode or what ever mode you call slow

Signal 1 gives me 1.7k ohm on closed the other around 600ohm, on open the one is 500ohm and the other about 1.6kohm, and it doesnt seem correct

Cool, thanks a mil
Here goes. open circuit unless resistances given. Throttle position unchanged. Closed.
1-4 1.5
2-3 1037
2-6 695
2-5 1298
3-6 1407
3-5 571

All the pins are insulated from the metal of the throttle

you can check your throttle wiring with these pinouts

https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads/punto-me73h4-ecu-pinout-pdf.404/ From the pdf for a car without Allarme for the engine plug 1 nearest the windscreen it seems 6pins 23 28 39 43 56 and 58 are going to arrive at that throttle plug

As far as i know the 2 signal pins, when open the one should have the same value as the other when closed, and visa versa

Is your new? Newish,
But either way, mines readings are way off from urs, so will go and check a few tomorrow, if i can find ine that seems ok, will try it and see
