As above, where are the contacts for the rear wiper and light switch etc on the MK2 bravo. I know the MK1 had some contacts and push buttons on the boot door but there are none on the MK2.

From what I've seen on mine, the wires run up through the top of the boot, and into the car.

No pins or contacts needed that way.

HTH.

As I know, the MK1 has the rear heater and wiper motor on the pin connectors, the boot light has a direct connection, but only the switch has its position on the pin strip.

Okay i replaced the bulb in the boot light today and its still not working. I've located some contacts and buttons on springs within the lower lock part. Not sure if they are to the boot light. I've pressed and rattled the switches and wiring but still nothing.

Im gonna take a look at it tomorrow but im hoping someone can tell me where the switch is so i have my starting point, im assume its a wiring fault. The multimeter can only check of a current to the light i wouldn't mind finding the source and testing the whole wire for breaks or damage.

Look at my guider here http://www.fiatboo.co.uk/photogal/guidepics/Rearlightearthing.pdf
the first pic shows the boot connector, the far left pin that is shown is the boot light switch.

Take out the strip and check out if the incoming wire has current or not (it can also be a earth wire that is connected, so check if its like that) also set the multimeter on resistance and check if the wire leading from it to the bulb holder connected display resistance, if not the wire is broken.

If that wont help, give me a shout, will dig you up the scheme for the boot light.

The Bravo workshop manuals don't tell me either. Also the haynes normally shows MK1 models so again prob wont be any good to me.

Ok i looked at the microswitch and it was fine. Took the boot door apart and check the connector and it was covered in a green/blue powder due to corrosion. Found the pins in one of the plugs to the microswitch to be completely corroded and broke off. Repaired it and its now working fine.

Must of got wet when my hose popped off the rear wash wiper, then corroded over time.

Cheers Sven.

Think my MK2 HGT must have the same issue. My boot light doesn't work and I had no idea how it connected, since on the MK1 1.8 it was so obvious.

Will have to give this a check.

Cheers,

Dan
