Technical when & where to recon a gt turbo & engine

might be buying a punto gt this weekend but it has 72000 on the clock, engine has had new cambelt and radiator but does it need to be recondition at a certain age?? how long wil the turbo and what should i be looking for when i buy it? thanks

welcome to the forum, smoke can mean turbo problems, other thing to check is headgasket same as any other car, if its been looked after it should not need re con engine yet

ok so smoke out of the back, white deposits in the oil cap, how do u check head gasket? any other things, rust areas???

did u wanna recon the who gt turbo?? jus the turbo or the whole car!! at last this boy has seen the light after my years of persuasion he's might buy a fiat!!! from havin a 205,nova, saxo,mr2 and now a fiesta he might be buying a gt tomorrow can't wait!! ha ha fait r the best

if therers any rust run away, they are galvernised only usally rust if been crashed and repaired

Check for smoke on boost, that will indicate turbo problems.
If you need a re con engine give these guys a look, they quoted me 600 for fully re con gt engine
