Greetings, Just back from hols and now that the post holiday dust has settled I decided to take the 500 for a run in the sun Whilst checking tyres, oil and fitting the battery isolator I noticed the marking from a small drip on the garage floor Now, I have a weeping steering box, so thinks I it's just from that but I'll take a look anyway. So there I am head under the bumper looking up at said box i notice a little drip on the rear brake master cylinder supply tube Hmmmm I wonder if the clamp is loose - I'll just give it a Wiggle !!! OMG OMG it's P***ing out
and after some bad language I escape covered in Dot4 fluid. The moral of this story is - if it looks like a leak - however small, it is a leak :bang::bang: I don't know if vibration or temperature have caused this as it was ok prior to my holiday ????

Well the parts arrived from Holland damn quick so I though I'd better get on with the replacement I decided to replace the good hoses with slightly longer ones as there is a possibility of putting strain onto the delivery tubes and the vibrations don't help either!!! I have a dual system master cylinder that only just fits in front of the pedal box, it's also very close to the underside of the front bay making the replacement of any tubing difficult and fiddly old fingers don't fit into small spaces as well as they used to!!! Anyway job done, bleeding the brakes was fun on my own - not. I'm now a fully qualified 'reservoir dog'
