Hi

i have a 1.4 Bravo SX with HLX wheels on

the wheels have been on for a long time but today i noticed a kind of rubbing noise when i turn the wheel a slight bit.

the wheels aren't catching on anything and the power stearing fluid is within the limits....

ay ideas whatit could be?

i don't think its the wheels rubbing - the sound i hear sounds like thewy are though.

ive been told maybe the handbrake is catching... any truth in this?

just when i turn the wheels.....

only really bad at slower speeds though...

i.e. when i reverse or am parking....

if there are any wheel balancing weights on the inside of the wheel they may be catching on something and causing a grinding noise?

worth a try

yeah - therer are, i'll have a look.

any more suggestions should this fail?

if u have antiroll bars then it likely that the weghts are catching on them when u turn the wheel.

either take them off or go to a garage and ask them to either move them, or to put plastic coated ones on instead. it shouldnt cost too uch if anything at all.

could be bearings, balljoints, or brake pads wearing mate have a garage look at get a few to look at it and then see the general consensus remember we cant see your car so can only go on what you say.
