Styling Wheel refurb

I have a spare set of 16" wheels so I can get my 17" wheels refurbished without losing the use of the car. It will also enable me to evaluate whether sixteens are better at potholes than seventeens.
Now the question is should I get the wheels painted and lacquered or powder coated?
Which is the more long lasting.
The picture shows possibly the worst of the four this I assume is paint under lacquer.

So they are just lacquered alloy.

Probably diamond cut (or polished) and laquered.

The cost of refurb is scaring me, I have a feeling the 16" wheels will be on for a while as they are in reasonable nick and have plenty of tread.

75 to 85 a wheel Makes the car look great. Same as axtyre each one maybe. I think its worth it but it may be a disease!

Quotes so far down here in the wilds of Devon £90-120 plus vat per wheel.
I have two more places to get quotes from hope they are cheaper.

To answer your question, I'd powder coat them, because diamond cut and lacquering means its likely that the problem will happen again
