I'm bored, so I just thought I'd ask the question.

Mitsubishi GTO for me; either that or the Integrale Evo.

If pushed, I would have to say that the GTO was the more venomous.

Good question mate...

Just trying to think, but I really can't think of anything that impressive.

I'd be sad if I said that my HGT was the most potent !! LOL

I remember taking a Coupe Turbo out and a Sapphire Cossie, and my old mans Mk3 RS Escort Turbo, but I've never been fortunate enough to get behind the wheel of anything exotic :(

Ah well, gives me something to aim for ;)

BMW 328iSM - felt far too controlled for the amount of power it had.

Most potent i've been in though was a Calibra - 2.5 V6 (bored to 2.8) turbo 4x4 - and made that way by Vauxhall - one of only 25 imported.

Both of the above were frightening!

I have never driven a 20v Turbo Coupe, but I have tried both the 16v and mormally aspirated 20v. Of the two, I preferred the 16v, (as you know) - being a big fan of the Sedicivalvole Tipo, strange as it may sound to some of the younger Forum members, this car was an absolute brute and puts the HGT's to shame!

I **** you not.

In my young days, drove a mates Escort RS, bored to 1900, pushing around 280bhp good acceleration but not mental acceleration like an RS200. Didn't drive, but was lucky see one in action around Ford test track, me old man used to work at Ford Research Centre :)

My brothers Evo IV RS, running about 285bhp. Just mental torque in every gear, huge acceleration and pretty bad turbo lag to go with it! At 19 was enough to catch my attention!

Ben.

my mate at uni had a sl 55 amg(it was daddys) but he let me drive it and it was UNBELIEVEABLE!!!

I've thrashed a Coupe turbo, and had some very scary moments in stuff that shouldn't have had enough power to light a bulb (a certain 54 brake fiesta springs to mind!).

The most useable power was a brand new M3 convertible a client let me drive. 130mph spun up on the local ring road, then hit a roundabout and carried loads of the speed through it, back round and back the way we'd come. Awesome.

It would have killed me in less than a week. If ever I order one I'll have mine with brass door handles.

Hmmm So Many to Choose From

In my younger more reckless days wilst working for a garage i've driven...

BMW M5 (Speed Limiter Removed & 390bhp ish)
Escort RS Cosworth
Sierra Cosworth
Toyota Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz limited edition
Lotus Esprit Turbo
Lotus Carlton (Scared me shitless)

You can take your pick from that lot.

Probably the most lethal car I've ever been in was a Rover SD1 V8 with bald tyres. Keeping the back behind the front was quite a job :)

my dads vauxhall monaro its well to powerfull for what he uses it for

Re: Hmmm So Many to Choose From

'grale Evo. Unfortunately it was running like a bag o' shite but still fantastic fun. :)

My TWR XJRS 6.0 V12 :) Tested at Mira at 194mph (not by me I will add!)
Spun at least through 7 x 360's on the M5 at 115mph by yours truly and sold shortly afterwards

Sierra XR4x4 Turbo Technics ^^ (2.8 V6 Turbo)

About 250bhp, and 8mpg.

Mitsui GTO Twin Turbo
With uprated turbos, feckin good fun and sticks like baby sh*t to a blanket.

Sierra cosworth only got 15 minutes behind the wheel, but it was fun nonetheless. car was in pieces, torn seats, no gaiter on the baldy gearknob, front bumper more-or-less cable-tied on. was good fun... next most potent, um, Bravo 1.8 :s
