Whats the best web browser?

i understand from a dev point of view, but most people don't do they. with regards to phising etc, i run CommonSense 2007 on all my systems and don't have trouble with internet security, i don't have thousands of popups etc. dont even like tabbed browsing either - if i wanna close page the mouse gets flung to the top right corner. much easier.

I'm currently using Konqueror which is a sort of file browser come webbrowser and pretty much a standard tool on Linux boxen. It can use most Mozilla plug-ins and rip cds to ogg, flac, mp3 etc. as well as other stuff.

As a pure web browser it's almost as good as Mozilla/Firefox or whatever we're supposed to call the free version now, but is marginally faster. It provided (most of) the code which the OS X browser uses.

I've always found Exploiter to be a dog, but there are morons who still write non compliant html and javascript for it. They will burn in hell. I know Exploiter comes "free" with Windows (and that folk are still lazy enough to use both) but why use a condom with a hole in it when you can get real ones for free?

yeah but its what you are used to.i moved to opera years ago out of curiosity. now i couldnt do without tabbed browsing nor mouse gestures.
saved sessions are handy,as are saome of the widgets(little plug in progs)

each to their own but i like my opera,i also D/L the beta builds to get some extra little features like the new speeddial feature

I use safari, and fire fox when I need to. As well as opera.

One of the reasons why I don't use alternate browsers (except FF) is because they're not fully supported - e.g. can't use the multi-quote function on this forum using Opera.

so basically,you are a browser whore ;)

Nah, it's just that I am a huge mac addict, thus try to avoid the sin of using i.e. However as I design web pages, I use differnt browsers in emulations to test web pages to ensure they work across the board.

I couldn't live on this laptop without Opera and the keyboard shortcuts. Those on other browsers aren't intuitive at all - why can I not go forward and back at the click of one key on IE?

back and forward with one click? I can, got a decent mouse :p

i'm using firefox now. so far the only thing that annoyed me was the keyboard shortcuts. i use alt s for posting on forums, and that in firefox is bound to 'history' gee thats useful.

little bit of a play in about:config and thats fixed.

also dont like the way u cant use the brower window in firefox when a plugin is being downloaded.
