Issue you have is that you're trying to use filler between 2 types of material - metal and plastic.

Depending on heat, different materials shrink and expand at different rates. As they alter in shape/size, cracks will occur. The end results is now apparent on your Bravo.

Boot handle cracking is a very common issue. Many people before you have tried to smooth them in with the same results.

As for a solution, well I couldn't say but if there was a flexible filler on the market you may have more luck.

I've used that plastic padding before, and found it to be very good. Much more flexible than the usual Isopon P38.

It still only has a certain amount of flex though, and can crack if you put it under too much pressure.

Ha ha, Things are starting to go wrong with Gillans car!

yh wots funny about dat u tit! wots ur name ?

Why did you get the filler work done? the boot didnt crack in the time I had it and it then went to speedy and it didnt crack then so not sure why you had it done.

Smoothing palstic and metal together isnt easy it requires alot of time, you need a special 2 part epoxy to glue the handle into the boot, after trimming the boot and down so you can lay up fibreglass onto it on the outside and then bake it in the oven approx 5-6 heat cycles, monitoring for cracks and dealing with it as they occur. once its gone through enough heat cycles it will then hold up, but not until alot of working with fibreglass etc, I had to use a few rivots aswell but dont use many as these expand at different rates also and will show.

the rest of it just all looks like poor filler work I am afraid :( that cheap deal will now cost you alot more I am afraid :(

By the way I can tell you the little prick lives in Rusel Road in Nottingham, possibly Burford Road but my money is on Russel Road in a back bedroom... that possition takes you to between the 2 roads just off gregory blvd. Halfway between Gregory Blvd and Austen Avenue on your left hand side ;)

im supprised also that the spoiler area cracked and the boot handle, i had the car for over a year with the boot in regular use and it didnt crack :S

must have taken some punishment to crack it man.
