What's made you grumpy today?

What's made you grumpy today?

Grump, grump and thrice grump.

Was supposed to spend last night at the family home looking after youngest daughter who is ill with the cold.

'She' then did not go out.

Never mind, I had also arranged to take eldest to pub after finishing work at 9pm, so I sat in stoney silence, sober, tilll she bounded in just before 9 to announce she had decided to drive herself as she was getting up early to work this morning so didn't want to get puggled.

Then I started getting the symptons of youngest's cold. Now unable to control my body temperature, not helped by the blazing sun but cold in the shade, and I am at work.

Its got to get better.

Cheers

Has it got better?
i was putting on my nicotine patch... and i thought 'hmmm i wonder if they smell of anything'

and yes they do! its weird... and its hurt my nose and it made my eyes hurt :(
It' quite sharp stuff :) Good on you for keeping going, how long is this now?

I was lucky. When i was at college full time I registered with a recruitment agency and did part time factory work. Was really crummy work but paid very well for a 16yr old :D.
That's not luck, that's going out and finding stuff and making your own destiny (y)

Nope, if you are asking about the cold. Possibly getting up a 5am didn't help, nor a busy day at work.

I've been told I can't take cold and flu remedies due to the drugs I am on, so its paracetemol and single malt (purely medicinal, of course) along with some honey and lemon.

Board meeting tomorrow morn is going to be great, NOT

Cheers

You're right, it won't mix well with your pills. You're doing the right thing, plus stay snuggled up and plenty of chicken soup and orange juice. You can use nasal sprays if you get really bunged up (y) I think I made a mistake hugging you before though, don't want a cold right now :(

:yeahthat:

Although it can cause a health at work hazard when they don't speak a word of english .

Like PUT THAT DAMN GUARD DOWN NOW or you'll cut your sodding fingers off  .

best one i got involved in was an Iraqi who had managed to lift several 10mm wide one way flaps on the back end of a 4 blade self feeding multi rip circular saw (used to rip 13 foot scaffolding boards to width and had his hand in removing the shavings not only was the 4 circular saw blades a slight hazard to his appendage there was also the serrated drive belts which would have pulled him in

grabbed him and dragged him back at the same time smacked the EMergancy stop and he went off on one :nutter:

Sorry to hear that Rolf.

Hope he's ok.

Cheers. He comes home today but has short term amnesia. And has been signed up with AA after it was found his blood alcohol level was 8 times the limit and he has shown increases signs of aging (neither me or my mum know how he got that much).

It took a rather loud warning of "if you don't do as your told I'll knock you into next week" to get him to co-operate with the ambulace crew.

Luckily no broken bones or spinal damage but hopefully now he will learn.
