ok, the original CD player is pants.
I want to keep the steering wheel controls
I'd like an ipod connector (that charges ideally)
I dont need a CD autochanger, or even CD player come to think of it...

Whats my best route - an after market unit with the right bits built in??

thank in anticipation...

you can pick up the fm transmitors for next to nothing. i paid about 3 quid delivered, but that wont charge the ipod. thats probably the cheapest way around it though :)

yes, I have one - but it's rubbish and turns itself off every 10 minutes or so! (its a reasonably good i-river)
But I acknowledge youve answered the question correctly!:D
What about except that route....

I've got a bit further with this. I'd get an aftermarket if I could find one where I wasnt going to have to pay another £25 for an adaptor for the steering wheel controls! Blaupunkt are really led through the loops by Fiat to protect the latter's ability to sell things through car dealers!
