Blue and Me is a cool feature and very convenient

I didn't spec my car, bought it used

However I have added decent suspension, brakes and a fruity exhaust,
The standard car is great out of the box, especially now they have fixed the rear suspension

When I was looking at speccing an Abarth i found the whole proposition very confusing

My initial plan was to get the 500 Pop with aircon.

So aircon would be my 1 thing, I would not get a car without. Everytime I've been stock in a burning hot car in the summer, I have sworn I would never buy a car without aircon.

I ended up with a Lounge, because the dealer gave me a good deal, and he had one for immediate delivery, instead of having to wait for ages to get the Pop with aircon. And I'm glad I got the Lounge, because I do enjoy those extras you get with the Lounge.

On the Abarth, it would have to be the Red/black leather seats, i love the design, quality, comfiness and they really look good contrasting with the white paint and black interior trim. The climate is good too though, as is the Electrochromatic RVM.

I could easily live without the radio/high fi whatever you want to call it! As for air con/blue and me, alloys well they're all standard anyway! I could even live without all my stickers :p

A/C, I didn't think that I used to need it but having owned a car with it, I couldn't go without!

Blue & Me is very very useful though and I find it hard being in cars without steering wheel controls now.

I have a 1.4 pop and my 2 must haves were Climate Control and Dualogic, yes it is jerky in auto mode (but handy to have) in manual mode it is great. No clutch, more room to stretch out the left leg. Well worth the £700.

£700 to stretch your left leg!? ;) My size 14 feet can be a little inconvenient at times, but on long journeys i drive with no shoes on. I also put my left foot under the clutch too, this way my left leg can be fully extended (almost) and i don't even touch the firewall/bulkhead!

You also have the benefit of the Auto mode for your £700. AS you say with size 14 feet it can be inconvenient in a manual, mine are 11s and I do not wish to drive with no shoes. Thats why I prefer the Dualogic.

Yeah, I would have loved to have Dualogic. I've always been driving with manual, except when I'm on vacation in USA since almost every rental car in USA is with automatic. But I love driving with automatic...simply for the reason that I'm lazy, so why whould I do anything manual, when the car can do it for me.

But I didn't opt for Dualogic on the 500, because the price in denmark is £2270. That's why I drive a plain Lounge, without any extras.

On the basic pop it has to be the air con but my wife would quickly add crossover black paint so hers is a black pop with air con. I would probably have gone for a lounge but she is paying not me; besides no 500 is going to pull our 5.2 metre caravan is it!

I await the usual derisory comments about caravans - do I care - not a bit!:)

so why whould I do anything manual, when the car can do it for me.

Because it's more fun! You can get so much more out of a car with manual transmission, too. I suppose it all depends on your needs, I think anything that lets the car make the decisions is a bad thing but other people would prefer it if the car drove itself without any input at all!

Errrr because you have better control?

alot of ppl are sayin A/C but to be honest i have a car with it now and i have only ever used it to de-mist the windows. I like driving with the window down when its sunny and hot ... not that that happens often here in belfast

So my must have would be prob blue and me. I know it comes as standard in the lounge and i havent actually got the car yet but steering wheel controls, the usb and the bluetooth for the phone is what sealed the deal for me
