i've never really used the whatcar website to read car reviews before because i tend to be suspicious of things like that. my suspicions have been confirmed reading the bravo/a review.
the 1.4 is recommended!! WTF
and both 1.4 and 1.2 are described as 'gutsy'
and apparently the 1.8 and 2.0 and both diesels dont suit the car.
good reliability! dont make me laugh.
and whats this crap about suspension problems? did they make that up
oh hang on, now it all makes sense, they got their data from warranty direct.
even better is this:
just goes to show, you cant trust review websites, even the most well known ones (although i do find parkers to be very good usually)

The 1.4, or the 1.2 that replaced it, was the top-selling model and it's also the one to buy second-hand.
Either engine is gutsy enough and, anyway, a Brava/o is best driven in a relaxed style. There's also a 1.6, a 1.8, a 2.0 hot hatch and a pair of diesels.
Of these, the 1.6 is good. The other motors don't suit the car particularly, although the diesels and willing and economical, if noisy.
