General What weight can I carry?

Hi.
I have a ducato 2.8 maxi y2000. I bought it with no handbooks etc, and wondered what weight I can carry in the back? I have been offered a 0.8ton digger. Would it carry this legally, or could I go even larger?

Totally in the dark, help will be very much appreciated.

For a 2.8JTD Maxi 2006 model the GVM is over 3.5 tonne. Its all stated on a compliance plate in the engine bay.

When you've found out what your max gross vehicle weight is (probably 3.5 ton, but could be 2.2 ton), then your best bet is to find a public weighbridge & have your van weighed empty.

An 800 kg digger should be ok, my 2008 van is chassis cab with 4.2 meter luton body on it - my payload is 980 kgs.
