Just askin this as i`ve just recharged the air filter that i bought of Dan, i had a k&n air filter on a rover i had but i haven`t had one of these on a 1.8 so,
what`s the figures before i install, and whats the typical figures after the install,
obiviously i`m gonna use more fuel but hopefully it shouldn`t be that bigger difference

BRAVO, why settle for anything less.

I think the 1.8 returns about 35mpg. But with a K&N expect 25MPG.

Each car varies but you're looking at 33-34mpg. 35mpg? Wouldn't have thought so.

Mine averaged 33mpg.

K&N didn't do anything to that except you find yourself tipping the gas pedal more (for the sound) and in turn using more petrol :)

the difference of 1mpg could just be how some1 drives eg.journeys length, gear choice etc

so really, there isn`t that much difference then?

BRAVO, why settle for anything less.

TBH, there isn't that much difference, fuel-wise, between my old 1.6 and my current 1.8 which has K&N, so really wouldn't think so ^ ^

Oh, and definitely agree with Insy about excessive pedal pushing for the sound :-D

Thats what I was vaguely hinting at :)

As Tom says, doesn't matter what other people obtain from their car, see what yours does :)
