General What other Fiat's have you had?

Off the back of the 'avoid the gp like the plague thread' what other fiat models have fellow GP drivers owned?

Tipo 1.4 dgt
Cinquecento sporting
3 x punto gt (mk1)
2 x punto sporting (mk2)
Grande punto t jet
Grande punto m jet

Just the mk 1 punto (my first car in 2004) I can say so far I'm loving the GP ....I picked mine up last week and after reading the common problems with them...it seems mine has most of them :-/

Dash bit sticking up
Oil smell via vents
Back door handles sticky/hard to open

Lol that's all I've found at the mo...but once I've had the can belt done I can start to fix these little things and start to mod her! Can't wait

Head gasket?

Yep, sudden massive loss of coolant and as i was in lane 3 in heavy traffic i had to keep it going to get over to the hard shoulder and ended up with a piston seized in its bore which snapped the crankshaft.

I sold it to a mechanic swapped the engine and sold it to a young lad who wrote it off a few months ago.

My gp is my first fiat but I was ferried around in a b reg Reggatta 85 as a child, and my dad owned a Strada before that. After the reggatta my dad went through a long line of Peugeots but is now back in a Fiat group car in the form of an Alfa Giulietta.

My first and current car alongside my GP is a Fiat 126. 1989, but don't let the year decieve you, it's the same as a 1972 126, bar the watercooled engine...
