I have found some stilo wheels which are advertised as fitting the 500, an they are CHEAP!

Question is will they fit? Or is this guy pulling a fast one. Bad news is its a gum tree buy and the first time I will see them will be when the courier delivers them.

Sounds a bad idea I know but as I want to refurb and powder coat I think it's worth a punt. 'If they fit'

Any ideas?

Also what else will fit our little car?

I bought a set of Stilo 15 inch steel wheels for winter tyres and they were the closest one could get to the manual. If you're prepared to use wobble bolts there is a Hugh range of 4x100 as opposed to 4x98 available. Quite like the New Punto esseesse style wheels which are available in 15 inch.
Powder coating isn't cheap and if I was going that route noticed some 17 inch genuine essesse wheels that were badly marked on ebay for £400. These are sought after and would have a good re-sale. TMC also have some pro race 1.2 wheels in a 16 inch which are light and look the business.

These are £80 with tyres :OMG:
And we have Areocoat in east Anglia who are awesome IMO. £40 a wheel and some really fantastic finishes including chrome and black chrome. Mmmmmm

That's a great price for power coating. I got robbed on ones I got done but the finish was brilliant and made them look like new. Very tempting price on the Stilo alloys. Are you looking to go with a white finish ?

I'm going for chrome rims which white centre. Might have the return edges in black chrome.

Turns out they are TWS alloys with the correct 500 fitment.

I put the price wrong as well. £70
Worth a punt for that!

70 quid for the wheels and 40 each for returning? Seems a LOT to pay for TSW wheels.

you'll need new tyres too, factory 500 alloys will be cheaper in the long run.

The powder coating is for the looks not because they are damaged. I would be powder coating new fiat alloys as well if I went down that route.

Out if interest what's the cost of 4 new fiat alloys in the that style?

I mean used ones on eBay.

tbh TSW venom's are about the ugliest wheels you can find.

Then I congratulate myself on being the envy of the supermarket car park boys.

Once they are delivered and finished as I hope I will post some pictures.
If they look awful then I can still sell them or more or less what I have paid for them.
Might as well take the risk, if It works ill be happy, if it fails ill be wiser.
It's good to try things and learn.

I'll keep you posted Maxi. "Thumb"

I think they're quite nice !
Reminds me of the 5o-spokes which I was unable to get refurbished.
When I had the powder coating done there was a sparkle slight metallic look of them which initially I didn't like and then got used to it.
When you consider delaying the powder coating until you're sure you want to keep them.
What's the exact spec on wheels ? size, offset and J.

Not far from you at all!

I wondered if that was them, had a quote from them once, and seemed very professional, and had some good examples of what they'd done there.

My baby girl arrived at 22.08 it was a difficult birth and ended on c section.
8lb 11oz, our little tank :)
