HGT is telling me 32.6 at the moment, but then it's done a couple of hundred motorway miles...

Ironically, the Punto is my daily car and my fun car gets 37-42 :D

Chris

40 mpg year in year out in narrow lanes in Cornwall (forever changing gear, braking etc). 50 mpg on any good run. All in a well-serviced 1.2 basic "S" reg.

mk2 1.2 8v

30 mpg daytime, crowded city, 1.5 miles drive(5 min),work<->home.

37 mpg nighttime, not so crowded city, 3.5 miles drive, home<->pub.

~60 mpg open road, 5th gear, ~100 km/h

p.s.: without AC, normally I change gears @ 2500-3000 rpm

my 1.2 16v sporting 52 reg is roughly about 37-40 around town driving it steady, but about 30-34 if i boot it. got 49 on motorway wen i brought it. that was at 70-80mph

anyone know if you can change the ltres per 100km to MPG, Littlepip mentioned it could be done but didn't say how.

I get a little better than 17.5 Km/liter, 5.7 liters per 100 Km or about 49.5 MPUKG.

I'm not exactly a slow driver. We don't have as many radars here for the moment and I will use the airco if conditions warrant. Most of my driving is on motorways on longer trips. I do almost 3000 miles each month and wouldn't trade the diesel for any petrol engine.

:)
On my last fillup I got 18.56 Km/liter or 5.39 liters per 100 Km or 51.9 miles per UK gallon or 43.7 miles per US gallon. I correct for odometer error ( mine shows 103.4 km per 100 actually driven) which meant the car told me it had gone 755 Km when it had really done 730. My trip computer told me only 17.5 Km per liter. Sometimes it's right on but it has been off in both directions in the past. That's why I keep a pocket calculator in the car.

I was averaging 60 mpg from my old punto jtd (45mpg if sitting around 90 on mway, over 70 if driving like ive gota broken neck.....)

At mo, after ive learned how to drive economically, im averaging 42mpg, which is not bad for an old school cav sri 16v (punto very very poorly at hte moment, took a wrong turning in mid wales, ended up going up a farm track, rock through sump..... )

I am getting a consistant 50+ MPG (50-54) with every trip on my bog standard 2005 Active Sport 1.2 8v, however i have just fitted an induction kit so will have to wait and see if it changes- if it does i will bin the induction kit and revert back to the factory fitted airbox

£20 gets me 225-240 miles......winner

am getting about 49 mpg in my mk2 03 1.2 8v and when i give it a good thrash it only dips to about 46 lol, if i drive like a granny i can get abut 55 most
