Im using the data cable that came with my mp3player, one end fits into the bottom of the player and the USB end goes into the socket in the glovebox

thing is it will only play on random and the player goes into USB mode and no features can be used i.e I cant listen to one particular album

are there any other cables availible with the USB end on it

It's not the cable, it's your mp3 player that causes the random play. I'm using an USB lead cable that came with my car. I think the folder structure is important for Blue&Me. My albums are on a 6gb Philips USB HDD. I can play albums, artists, folders etc. by simply selecting them on the steering wheel (or using voice commands). On the USB HDD I have folders with the artist names, and inside these folders I have the album's name. So in one artists folder I can have different albums. For example: In the Katie Melua folder, I have a Call of the Search, and a Piece by Piece folder (and inside them the wma files with other infos - album name, artist, year, genre, track number etc). Hope this helps.

ahh rite, ive still no joy with mine

Why are there 2 usb sockets??

On some models there's no USB sockets or 3.5mm jack sockets for MP3.
You can get a made up lead to plug into rear of the F199 radio (Grundig) on eBay which has a 3.5 mm plug on other end to go into your Smartphone, ipod etc. You then select CD on the radio without inserting a CD. This switches radio to AUX input and you use the controls on the MP3 player to select tracks etc.
Quality is good and you can use the car radio equaliser and volume controls as well as those on the player. If you want to save money the lead for a Blaupunkt is £6 cheaper but you have to cut a corner off the connector that goes into the radio as well as a thin locating strip. Sounds hard but it's not - all done in a few minutes.(y)
