Its meant to plug to the air sensor on the underside of the std airbox. I don't have either that pipe or the other one that plugs to the other connector on the air sensor and the car runs fine without them.

it attaches to the underside of the standard airbox, as ther is a screw in it im guessing you are running an induction kit or something

not really sure what it does though

it had one attached to my airbox but when i took it out to change the TB i forgot which plug it attaches to so left it :eek: - i think there is also a black one floating around somewhere

Cant help you but somehow I dont think Mr Fiat would leave it like that....:(

I was just worried it's not connected where it's supposed to be and therefore bypassing a sensor or something :rolleyes:
 
It's a vacuum hose that is used to open and close the cold/hot air valve on the original air intake.
 
Everyone else beat me too it, but I'll add that the screw should stay in, or it sends everything up the spout, as I discovered when installing a 40mm TB - totally confused the poor car and it was coughing and spluttering everywhere.
