It is made by FTE like lots of parts are. I am using a gearbox that uses this push-fit connector on the slave cylinder on a modified car, so I want to make this end up in normal clutch/brake pipe. The pictured item would have been great but a garage chopped the pipe too short to fit a union on as you can see!

Which cars feature this connector that you know? FIAT techs must know? I recall late Puntos having push fit connectors on their slave cylinders perhaps? ePer catalogue has very poor diagrams in this area so it is impossible to use. Even better would be an adapter off the shelf, but a suitable easy to get pipe from a scrappy that can be modded would be fine.

Concern about getting Hosequip to make something bespoke a post it is it costs more than the £30 it is to buy a new one of the pictured flexi hoses from FIAT. It would be good if someone can confirm Puntos have the same. Perhaps a photo or something? Just trying to save a few quid on something that seems like it should be cheap.
 
ive only got a slave off a grande in the shed i think not the hose or bit from the other end of it, there is a mk2b in the garden though but its cold n dark can it wait till tomorrow or is it urgent?

i thought you wanted push fit one end and panda fit the other, thats why i suggested hosequip

I would really appreicate the effort Dave if you can confirm or deny our suspicions. I do want to convert from push fit to normal clutch pipe that I will put a union on, yes. At the end of the day, they all convert to normal pipe naturally. The pipe I posted a picture of would have done that and it is from a Grande Punto T-Jet (5-speed). Its for the aforementioned box now in my Uno project car. It is the last peice in that modding puzzle actually, but it can wait. I've not got plans to use it until spring other than testing.
 
the grande has that fitting on a plastic slave with a twist with fingers bleed nipple.
the mk2b has that one end going on to rigid metal pipe at the other end the metal pipe is a bit thicker than the brake pipes,
the mk2b has plastic slave with a bleed nipple that no one knows how to bleed as it dont move, i think you must do it buy having the pipe out a bit an presure bleeding? :confused:
 
OK, so it sounds like a goer then? The "slightly larger" pipe (guessing 6mm) is what I have coming from Uno master cylinder, so that actually helps. I have a union of the larger variety. The push fit end is defo the "two o-ring" variety on Mk2b then? I bought from someone else with new bravo and it was too short with only one o-ring.

Yes please. I'll wait for that then. I have to remove and rebuild the gearbox before I can test the car anyway due to slight error in build.

This has been a hard thing to research. No-one wants to pull the pipe out of course on a working car, you won't find any pictures on web of the pipes at all and they are never sold on eBay as no-one ever needs the spare. Dealer parts depts seem to know less than me about FIAT part detail. This is the sort of hard-won info that will be important to many on here when these conversions are more popular.
 
went there today, the 8v mk2 punto had the end with 2 O rings on
Thanks for looking. I'm gonna seek one out then. I've got a modern Panda slave here and the fitting doesn't work with that and it looks very similar to Punto type. There are clearly a few types of fitting, which is quite unusual for FIAT with this sort of thing.
