Customers car, a 54 plate panda needing some minor paintwork to be done, but I have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb and can't find the VIN plate anywhere ! ( though the car looks like its been in a crash in the past, so maybe the plates missing ? ).

Anyway, in order to order paint I need the correct code for this 'Blue' colour, light basic blue - non metallic I would say.

I will try to snap a picture of it later and upload it, but this is a library/google image picture of one in the same colour for now.

Thanks !

It took me ages to find it when I was looking. They should just put it on the MASSIVE car ID sticker on the B pillar. I thinks its called the B pillar, or maybe its the C or D pillar. :p

Not fitted on the earlier Panda's (n)

And even then only says, model, spec and engine size doesn't it  (I can't remember ).

It just says Fiat Panda 100HP 1.4 16V if I remember correctly. Its not a bad thing that older Pandas dont have the sticker. After all its just a big ugly and pointless sticker. If you want to know what spec the car is just look at the badge on the back.

Errrr he wanted to know the paint code, not what model he's got.

Where they all say Fiat Panda  :p

You mean the wings, under the side repeater where is says spec (except 100hp I think), but they've even stopped that on the newer examples now :(

Yeah you are right thats my mistake.

Thats probably why Fiat added the stickers in the first place. Because they took off most of the identification badges. A big sticker is cheaper than a nice side badge after all.

Thanks for all the replies ! I didn't get any email notifications so I did not realize there were any replies.

Because the car belongs to someone else ( who has gone away on holiday ) I am not able to get another look at the boot or anywhere else for a code. I had just hoped someone has the same coloured panda and knows the italian colour name or code so I can order the paint to repair some scratches.

I really can't fathom why Fiat have the odd quirk like this, with the vin plate. Are Fiat behind times and awkward, or ahead of times by hiding VIN plates and ID stickers in hard to find ( or hard to alter ) places I wonder ?

I know this coloured Panda is not the cocktail blue as thats metallic, this is plain. But I can't find any other names of blue used on Panda's anywhere. How many blues were there ?

Anyway, thanks for all the replies and help so far !

I'm almost certain that Surf Azure is the lighter metallic blue.

Think the colour might be Dry Turquoise, there's been a fair few shades of blue on offer though so not 100%.

Surf Azure seems to be this kind of silver / blue / grey-metallic colour. But its good to eliminate what it isn't, logical deduction I believe Sherlock Holmes would call it.
