today stripped off the injection system and fitted the 131 manfold to my dissapointment it didnt fit,...... Bugger so out came the grinder  now it does fit, got it running, Well kind of but too much fueling and the fuel regulator is not man enough for the job, either too much fuel or not enough, Also never thort about the throttle linkages, Have to make up plates and proper brackets So off with the carb, back on with the injection.... Drat and double drat... Least i tried.... :bang::bang:

dont you fancy giving it ago yourself? i've just done my first clutch on a punto, not hard at all, took me 4 hours start to finish, clutch alinement tool was only £9.99, would save you alot of money:)

haven't really got the space/equipment/knowledge for doing the 16v and i can't afford for to do anything wrong. although i'd be saving money but would rather get it done by someone who knows what they're doing this time. also haven't got the enthusiasm for it, a day or two of attempting to get out rounded off bolts and others which are very stiff doesn't sound too appealing.:(

turned the head around 180degrees, increased the bore by 2mm, and a different crankshaft shortening the stroke by 4mm giving a "square" engine. all done properly should give 285bhp at 8400rpm.

sadly i doubt i'd be able to do this but this is what they done to the lampredi engine using an 8v block and a 16v head, to power the 1994 winning alfa romeo 155!! don't know why an 8v block was used though?

so the chassis and engine together have a racing pedigree!

Reupholster the ceiling with new fabric!! It turned out marvelous!!! (y)
It's about a weekend job! :)

heater tap leaking, not the actual tap, but where it joins to the matrix :( going to disconnect the heater so i can still use the car untill i get it sorted out properly, will try and make a gasket, as it currently only seals with a rubber ring, and it's plastic against plastic, got some proper gasket card a while ago so it should turn out alright.

new (unbent) bonnet fitted and sprayed in high laquer paint plus the roof and another mirror, to match the sides. Silly scrappie had the cut the connectors off leaving the wires short, after much swearing and contortionism they were mated. Loving Bravo front brakes.

taken her off the road for the winter, might get some little jobs done on her now that i dont need to use her. going to get one of them covers off ebay for her to stop the bad weather doing any damage.
