The other day a friend who's looking to buy a Touran (can't account for taste) asked if the price being asked for an 04-plate diesel was a fair one. It was nearly £5k.
My initial reaction was 'They're surely having a laugh', but a quick look on Autotrader showed that it was perhaps a little high but not exceptionally so. I couldn't get over the fact that they were asking more than twice what I paid for my Multi, on the same age plate, slightly lower mileage but with a lot less kit.
When they were new, there was less than £800 difference in their list prices.
So, the question is, what other cars did you look at when you were buying your Multi? I can remember that (solely on the grounds of value for money) I quickly got my shortlist down to a Peugeot 307 SW SE or a Multi. Few other cars seemed to offer so much (grief?!) for so little outlay.
