MOT is due and as usual, i'll be getting a full service from my local "Fiat specialist" in Palmers Green, North London.

Just curious to find out what you guys pay for similar?

I believe I've paid about £38 for both the MOTs my Punto's had at Wilson Purves in Ifield, Crawley. Both times there was no work required to pass. Services are done when they need to be either by WP or other local Fiat dealers, ranging from £120 or so to £400 for the 60k which needed the cambelt and some work on the brakes.

Paid £30 today for a nice piece of paper detailing whats wrong with my braking system.

Front discs rusty and s**t (least its an easy and cheap job for me to replace them)
Two brake pipes corroded (b*tch of a job, need to borrow a pipe flaring kit and buy some pipe & fittings, plus brake fluid)
Handbrake only works on 1 side (WTF?!?! It only had new drums, shoes and cables all round a couple of months ago, and the adjuster nut on the lever is tightened right up)

So thats a nice list of crap I need to sort in the next couple of weeks to get the free re-test. Unfortunately the old MoT runs out on Monday, so I'm gonna have to abandon the car at my folks' house until I've got time to repair it and get it re tested. :bang:

Bloody Fiats!

Servicing I do myself, for the cost of oil/filter/plugs/cambelt.
