What do you do!!

Hi

Ok getting my HGT's cambelt changed etc. I have £500 left after that what do I do first? Im thinking full service as I have only had car 2 months. Then what? check tyres, brakes, suspension see if that lot need doing? A few paint touch ups? Exhaust system? What would you do with £500 for a HGt that you just bought? I need so sensible advice as only 1 week to decide!

Service first. Never hurts to keep an HGT serviced. So, £311 left.

Put it in a high interest account and save it until the car breaks down. Make sure its an instant access account tho

While you may have enough for the mods how much are you currently paying on insurance? Remember that some mods on HGTs are going to scare the crap out of your insurance company and cost big bucks.

I'd also put it in a fund to keep it going.

Well personally I'm not into modding (ahem!).

Has she had a new alternator or battery recently? Mine went at 4 and half years old so if they haven't they are probably due. Also, your exhaust (if standard) will probably be on it's way so those 3 are already more than you've got.

Other than that I would look at things like an alloy refurb or chipsaway for the stonechips.
