i`ve done the work, even did the drivers side mirror too, primer paint and the laquer with newly sprayed base plates

not bad hey! the second pic is a replacement

Looks like a nice job.

How much paint did you use altogether, what did you use on the base plates ?

here goes, 4 thin coats of primer, 3 over all coats of the color, and two coats of laquer, turned out pretty well considerin i used my garage and the halogen heater to `bake` the paint, the base plates were done in red oxide primer first and then done in satin black for its final 2 and a bit coats, no need for black to black now

Rob, if you do a guide i would love to see it, had a look in the haynes (don't look hard) but the guides people on here do are far better than any haynes i have read ie colour pics closer detail etc etc....
