Technical what are the two domed things in the boot floor?

I have two round ended bolts in the middle of the boot floor. From observation, they have enormous nuts on the underside of the car, and they both are a tad loose...

What do they do? And should I tighten them...?

yikes- has no-one else got them?

Or has everyone else got them and they dont know what they are for either?

I'll clarify - about 2" across, slight, shallow dome - like an old fashioned bumper bolt end. The bolts are visible in the area above where the spare wheel bay is - slightly further forward.
