Hey Guys,

Had a look at the pads and disks on my T-Jet 120 and they are pretty much on their way out. Was wondering which disks and pads are used by the enthusiast on here. EBC and green stuff have been mentioned a lot on other forums however was talk a lot of brake fade and overheating issues.

The brakes are sharp and responsive so I don't want to change the calipers.

EBC RED STUFF pads every time!
I can't get them to fade and less dust than OEM!
Ceramic Kevlar compound so literary bullet proof brakes :D

Beware of upgrading the pads too far eg red stuff. I had reds on an Impreza and on a motorway etc they'd pull your eyeballs out, however, for the first few stops in a morning, they'd barely work, as you need to get a bit of heat in them. If you're doing track days, then fine, bit for everyday road use, they're a bit much.

On my M-Jet, I went for grooved discs off eBay and Greenstuff. No fade in normal driving, stops much better than it did and not much dust.

They've changed the formula now, same braking from cold :D
Basically Green stuff that can take higher temp with very little dust!

You dont need red stuff, turbo grooved and green best combo i found and very long lasting

Yeah if you like cleaning your wheels every day. I've tried every combo, I'd never use green again.

And you say theyve changed the compound for better cold friction, sounds like the pad to go for

Yeah, the old red stuff is new yellow or blue stuff, they need warm up before they work properly.
:D

my opinion for stock green stuff is the best red stuff needs warming
for modified car 180hp+ go for the yellow better stopping power than green in cold and better than red when hot
