what alarm?

bit bored at work so i'm trying to research my next purchase.
basically i'm after a decent cat 1 full closure alarm system. i'll consider most things as long as they're reliable. needs to be cat 1 for insurance reasons (planning some interesting mods eventually) and i'd like proximity sensors really.

any help would be much appreciated,

I have a toad c4 on mine with a dual zone proximity sensor. 100% reliable. Had a c3 on my last car and have never had any problems. They are only as good as the fitter though. oad also do the window and sunroof closure modules. Clifford focus on too many gimmicks to be as reliable. That my own opinion anyway. Hope that helps a bit. Dan

cheers bud, ive been warned against clifford by a guy i know who fits them, i'll have to have a proper look into it as there sems to be a lot of choice!

Im getting slightly worried now

I have had clifford in the past and never had one single problem with them.

So much so that I have just had a viper (same company as Clifford) iinstalled on my Bravo.

I have proximity on mine aswell as the duel shock sensor. Also have window closure fitted plus I will be having window glass protection at a later date.

Am I going to regret it and what extactly is the problem with clifford????

dont worry too much chap, paul (the guy who fits em) was talking about when fitting them they are quite an arse to get right, assuming yours has been fitted properly i dont see it being a problem. i mean if you've had no trouble before then i dont think ye need to worry too much. after all clifford have to be popular for a reason eh?

Yes, I have been told they are a pain in arse to fit. Thats why most installers hate them.

There is no signs of a bad install. The proxi is working perfectly though my mates next door love it as they walk past at 1-2am as the fob pages me.

Can't see any wires at all, no cracks in the plastic he has removed and all put back perfectly. Like he has never been there.

Well happy with it.
