Very odd noise was coming from my engine. Sounded like a dodgy tappet but different. Thought it could be tensioner or alt. Had horrid visions of head off to explore. Dunno why but decided to push plastic timing cover. And noise went! Looks like a bolts fallen out and near the other on front bit a flange has broke off. So anyone know what the upper and lower cover come in at Fiat?
Also I've been reading various threads on clonks. Mine does it when I put in reverse and apply normal power. Seems the rear mount is usual culprit. But the threads mention clonk when doing forwards.. Before I buy has anyone else had the same prob?
Replaced rad today. Getting them orig clips off is such a mish. But the biggest pain is that bleed pipe that threads through to the engine bay. My knuckles are skinned but I couldn't be arsed to remove bumper. Makes me laugh. The rad just hangs there and the main hoses locate it. All done so I is well pleased.
Happy cinquing fellow cinq types.
P.S. Noticed O/S CV boot leaking that horrid grease. So another job to do. Bolax!
