i just posted the craic in the injectors thread (my bad i know)

basically i got a 1 day ban on FF for making a racist remark.

the annoying thing is it wasn't racist and i really dont know how anyone could think it was.

GhosyWKD said about Jai:

My reply was:
"you're not allowed to say that anymore."


i only said that because calling Jai bananaman could cause offence to some poeple. Bananaman is a classic 80's racist name, and I know GhostWKD didnt mean it like that but it could have been misinterpreted. in a twist of fate my own comment was reported. oh the irony!!

whoever repoted me obviously didnt understand my post, i can forgive them these things happen, but i've talked about this with dave and he doesnt seem to understand my point. end of the day i'm not racist, i didnt say anything racist (opposite actually), and i dont know how anyone could think my post was racist.

sorry to go off topic, i'm still a bit pist

To get banned for an innocent comment like that is just pathetic and it's political correctness gone mad !! TBH, I've always found FF extremely pedantic and many of the users self serving. I remember reading a big spat on there last year when a FF regular turned up at Auto Italia but was unable to notify the organiser due to some last minute decision. He turned up and was basically thrown out of their area. It was quite sad how this long serving contributor was treated.

Ironically, I was one of the first members there when it started and was a moderator until I sold my HGT. I returned there when I got the Marea and it had turned a bit elitist and very cliquey.

BOO has it's moments, but by it's very nature is open and relaxed. I too hope you stick around and allow us to benefit from your knowledge and experience

i agree with what Rob has said, yes im on ff a fair bit but Boo is my home because it is that much better than ff imo

i also dont go on the FF so dont know who you are but have been seeing you on a lot of posts and all very helpfull, the longer you stay on boo the better (well for us )

on FF i've had my ban revoked and the strike on my account removed. cant complain really, these things happen but at least it got sorted out.

i like BOO so i'll stay on here as well,
BUT someone has already registered my username (jug). i think that may have been me a long time ago, but i'm not really sure what email address or password i used, or if its even my account.

can anyone find out?

Usernames and passwords are handled by Network54, the forum hosts. Sadly, there's nothing we can do ourselves.

Probably easier to register a new name.

And send Wimmy £5 for full BOO club membership and access all the bonuses that brings, like cheaper insurance, parts and the ability to trade on the forum
