ive had mine out a few times, and the bottom part of the seat is alot ligter than the back, but mine are leather, id say about 15kg ish

should save you abit, few have gone further and stripped the complete rear out which should be quite a good weigh saving i can remember kris saying on his, when he did it that the backend became twitchy

For your information, i stripped the beast today and weighed everything that come out:

Parcel shelf with speakers: 6kg
Sub: 17kg
Sound proofing: 2kg
Tools: 4kg
Spare Wheel: 15kg
Bottom part of seat: 8kg
Top part of seat: 18kg
Seat buckles and pre-tensioners: 2.5kg

Which comes to a total of:

72.5kg
so i was quite pleased with that myself, and feels a hell of a lot better round corners, plus ordered:

Forge Subframe Braces
Forge Adjustable Acuator
Forge Front Mount Intercooler
Rear Strut Brace Pillar Bar

Not really as what i said is true. They are gutless low down where as the Mjets power is low down so you will pull a lead then he will get up into the top end of his revs where all his power is.

Loads, when I stripped my GPS it made a noticeable difference. More in the bends than straightline speed.

Good luck. My old type-r pulled so much more top end than the GP, you will also get wasted in the corners. Taking the back seats out will not make the difference between beating and not beating a type-r.
