Hi y’all can anybody shed some light on the correct water pump for my fiat Ducato 1994 2.5 turbo. I purchased a pump although it fits there is a difference in the pulley for the belt to run thru. Apparently it should be 118 mill from the centre of the belt pulley to the pump body this is the pump I got which is apparently not the correct one and I am desperately trying to source the correct one

Model
Fiat Ducato Hymer 2.5 1994

I am guessing , but yours being a 2.8 and 1994 onwards whereas that pump is for the earlier 2.5 versions up to 1994, they may even be for the Indirect injection engines.
Can you ask your supplier going by the Engine Series number, possibly on your Chassis/Vin plate?

Hi bugsymike mine is actually the 2.5 turbo diesel the registration cert is incorrect saying 2.8 there is a pump arriving in the morning. Hopefully it is correct the timing belt kit is correct.

Sorry that was a typo 2.5 not 2.8
Are you sure a 2.8 wasn't fitted later in life as basically a straight swap and easier to get hold of, at least up until more recently.
I mostly worked on the similar Sofim 2.5 and 2.8s in Iveco Daily's, although some used a engine thermostat housing with a spring to tension the cambelt.
Is there anything on the Eper stuff on Forum to identify your pump?

Hi Mike yez I have the original part number of the pump from Fiat on Eper and there seems to be a few pumps listed under this Oem number hopefully the pump that arrives tomorrow is correct I can get a good second hand one which is correct but I would rather a new one the bearing is knackered in my original one which I had a feeling as the previous owner replaced the timing belt but not the pump so I had my suspicions
