Water leaking from engine

SORRY, I KNOW ITS A PUNTO QUESTION, BUT YOU GUYS ARE SO KNOWLEDGABLE.

Went to look at punto 1.1 s today and noticed it had water leaking from the left hand side of the engine. He is getting it looked at. What could this be? A mate of mine who is a mechanic says it'll be the water cooler? anyone agree?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, DONT WANT IT TO GO TO SOMEONE ELSE

Need to know are you looking at the engine from under the bonnet or as if you were sitting in the car,the proper way to define left or right is to be sitting in the car, i think you are looking at the engine from under the bonnet in that case its the right side of the engine therefore its the water pump thats leaking.
