warning light on dashboard

Stupid question I know but....My handbook is at home and I'm at work ...LOL

On way to work this morning (in fact just as I set off and gone about a mile or so) an orange coloured light came on just below the rev counter on my 51 plate 1.2sx

The light looked a bit like an engine block or somewthing but to be honest I cant remember what its supposed to be for

it went off after about 30 seconds or so but while it was on the car seemed to be struggling to pull and almost missing or something ???

any ideas please ???

Think probably my spark plugs need changing to be honest cos Ive been meaning to get em done now the colds setting in
