Warning Light On but Don't know what it means!!!!

HI can someone please help me, Yesterday whilst driving my Bravo a little red light kept looking at me, I have no idea what the light means as I have no manual but something obviously needs looked at. The light went off after about half an hour of driving but I don't think it bodes well for the future and the last thing I want is the car breaking down with 2 screaming kids in it.

The symbol looks like the nozzle off the end of a hose pipe with dropplets spitting out the end of it. I'm sure you guys know what I mean can someone tell me what I have to do and what it means.

That will be your injector light. It potentially means that one of your injectors is on it's way out.
Is your car a 1.6 by any chance?

It's a 1.4. Is it expensive to fix

New injectors are usually about £50 iirc. Best get it to a garage for a diagnostic to check which one it is or you could just remove them one by one with the engine running to see which one is faulty (engine will run the same when you take out the broken one but will run worse if you take out a good one).

My injector like was playing up, had a diagnostic and it was just a sensor, £100ish for the diagnostic and £3 for the sensor, has your car been playing up?

the 1.4 is single point injection ozric , so only one injector!!! try checking the temp sender.

the light doesnt mean injector fault!!!! please stop saying this. it means that the ecu has detected an error in one of many many components!!!. it could be a sensor it could be an injector it could be a corroded terminal!

my other halfs ecu light kept coming on in her cinq. plugged it in to the diag and it showed lamba sensor. tested the sensor it was fine so changed the fuel filter and it cured the issue!!
