Technical WANTED- Front wiper motor and switch.

As title suggets....

Front wiper motor and switch. needed if anyone has one?!

Also are they fused as mine burnt out and had smoke coming from the ignition as well.........???

Really hate my Cinq so far I have done nothing but put money into the thing and it spits it back in your face:bang:

Had to pay 200Quid to get towed home just to make things worse

Anyway any help appreciated

for 200 quid i'd have come out with my tow rope and slapped the rear towing eye on my cinq lol

Edit: oh and the wiper motors both went off to the scrappers with the cinqi

Do you know if they're supposed to be fused?

I had no wipers and so couldn't see to be towed so it had to go on the back! :bang:

in theory they should be fused somewhere, if still unsure tomorrow i'll track down the fuse for ya heh


thinking about it the problem might not be the fuse, the motor might have frozen, and then trying to use them would've burnt the motor out as it tries to turn against the frost and fails kinda thing

The wipers worked fine then suddenly stopped mid wipe on a nice busy roundabout onto a dual-carriageway :bang:

But I was concerned that a fuse didn't blow and that there was smoke!

They are fused but the motors can overheat before the fuse blows. It just goes slower and slower until the smoke starts. Similar problem with cooling fan.

It didn't even get slower and slower it just suddenly stopped then it all started burning......

..Which you actually didn't notice for a while, there was smoke whilst the wipers were going I think but I assumed it was steam.
