General W Reg 1.2 Punto - Starting Problem

Hi

I have a 1.2 W Reg Punto that has recently will not start. I have a sealed battery and I have tried to jump start it with my dads fiesta - but no luck. The only way that it starts is if someone tows me / bump starting it.

I have looked on this forum and I am trying to see whether people believe its either the starter motor or the ecu / coils.

In the morning when I go to start it - it turns over but of course slowly drians the battery with the constant turning over. I am using the blue key and I have noticed that on starting the ECU light is showing.

Any help would really be appreciated

the ecu light should come on and then go out. does it do that?

have you tried a different battery ???? if you have one you can just try may be worth doing that.

when engine does start does it run ok ?

If your starter was knackered it would'nt turn over. Have you checked your fuel cut off switch? mine failed for no reason.
