Ducato Vin number

Hello everyone
First post hope someone can help.
I haven't taken delivery yet of a Ducato motorhome but they're trying to sell me a stock model Vin no ZFA25000002F13830 can anybody decipher that
and tell me the month and year of manufacture.

...I'm not sure what system you're looking it up on, C, but it isn't unknown for VINs for motorhome base vehicles not to get a hit, so it may be a valid VIN, but not on the system.

My X/290 VIN doesn't feature on any of the systems (ePer and others), yet is an entirely valid number, and the VIN has been used to authorise warranty work with a Fiat dealer.

If the OP has access to the vehicle at the dealer, then I would suggest looking under the bonnet and searching for labels on the wiring loom. Generally, they have manufacturing dates on them, and with (mainly) JIT supply, the build date will be shortly after that date.

It isn't unknown for chassis to stand at the converter for some time (months in some cases) before work starts, so a 'van which is relatively recently obtained by a retailer may still have a 'long' build date.

Mine was built towards the end of 2016 with VIN ZFA 25000002C8****
I guess with your being 2F it is sometime later than that.

Indecently there is a recall for replacement of the EGR pipe and I think yours falls within it. I would advise that you do not take delivery unless it has been done. Make it the MH dealers problem to get done not yours.
The VIN range is ZFA25000002A59559 build start date 17/02/2016 and ZFA25000002F21177 build end date 14/09/2017.

This would also suggest that 2F13830 was built sometime in the Summer of 2017

This is a valid vin number, you have to substitute the 250 after zfa for 290, vehicle has not been registered with Fiat yet, so has no warranty start date, this has to be done to start the warranty off. It also has a campaign outstanding which is number 6172, needs a new clip to intercooler pipe, half hour job job. Hope this helps
