valet code

thanx Liam,
nice try m8 but that is the factory default, I need to reset the bloody thing it lloks like you have to send the brain to clifford and pay them £50 while your car sits on your drive fully imobilised

Matt

hi there is a way to reset it but im stumped if i can remember how to do it.
which clifford alarm have you got for starters? if its the concpet 600 like mine then your pretty stuck without a clifford fitter.
when mine cocked up when it was first installed it took them week to even get the car to start, and after that it took another two days to get the bugger to let me drive it more than a hundred yards without the blackjax kickin it lol
technology hey lol

im not sure you can even do that lol. im pretty sure you get 3 attempts and then it just locks up till its completely reset.
might be worth finding a local clifford installer and seeing if they can do it rather than sending it to clifford as they take an age to do things.

cheers

Why not find a competant car thief.

Two little SH*TS matching this description managed to drive my golf cabriolet away from the drive of my house last month and it had an expensive Gemini alarm and imobiliser fitted.

On seeing the car later ( a right off) the alarm and imobiliser had been removed from under the bonnet!!!!
If its possible to do this if you know what you are doing there seems little point in having it...

hi

im not sure on BritishBullDog's Clifford alarm, but I know mine has a 2 stage immobiliser. the standard type one that disables the electrics via the ECU, and a 2nd unit that cuts the fuel unless the system is fully functional. you could rip out my system(if you can find it ;-)) but the car still wouldn't move unless they pushed it away.
If they did find the system or ripped out the battery the alarm has its own supply and starts blarring out a lovely sound thatll give you a headache in a few mins hehe.

yep all the way m8 mines the same two point with optional wireless fuel cutoff, you got blackjax on yours two havent you well that aint going nowere lol
ive got cliffnet on mine so I have infinite trys at the code i can also change all the siren sounds and faff with other bits which you cant access without cliffnet

Matt

ah cool I have never tried that. You just hook a laptop up to it don't you? is that an extra or you just done it urself and got the software?

yeah blackjax really stops the car goin anywhere further than down the street. great idea, just gets bit annoying if your dropping people off cuz your constantly putting the code in

just had a look on ebay, found one in the USA for 30quidish. not bad. might get one someday. there are loads of updates you can do to the G4 range. all the G5 remotes and stuff work with them, and they got cool blue lights on em
sime things hey hehe
