HID conversion kits are illegal in NZ for good reason (they dont work) Are they ok in the UK?

yeah theyre legal here in the uk. as for them not working, the kits ive seen are really good?? well, tbh, a broken torch is better than the standard uno headlights lol

steve, are the bulbs all in one ones? as in full/dipped beam combined into one bulb?

Yes, all in 1. H4 bulbs are 2 filament. 1 for main beam, the other for dip beam.

Look carefully at the bulb, you will see shields for the dip beam filament. This directs the light onto the reflector in the correct place to achieve a light beam in focus.

HID conversions just give out a whole lot of unfocused light. They dont work with the factory headlight reflector and lens. Ive never seen a kit that works. They may give out more light, but its not focused into the area you want it to be. They are also blinding to other drivers because of it.

Have you tried using relays Alex suggested and 90/100W h4 i did and it and it seems like a whole new world. The lenses on my 88 70 were foggy cleaned them up with harpic limescale remover.
